Bloody Complaining Indians

 Shame on YOU

I have been hearing about the corruption of ministry, of CWG officials, of so and so people who are in the government. Well I have heard enough to just tell them Give ME A Break. There is a limit to complaining about India being 128th place out of 150 countries, that 1/3rd of the country is unhealthy and there is lack of nutritious children and many more. And who is to be blamed for everything? The ministers. Yes they are the perfect people to be blamed for even your areas water pipe burst or a tree which fell down during cyclone and even an accident caused by two people who were rush driving.
Have you all lost your senses? You never complain that Ratan Tata or Taslima Nasreen get more security than you yourself. You never complain that the amount of security deployed in front of Shahrukh Khan’s house is more than the Kashmiri girl who fought against terrorists! But you complain about Shashi Tharoor involved in a scam, about a minister wanting an increment or Kalmadi using 16.5lakh for gym facilities.

Tell me where will this world class athletes practice, work out? At your home? At the gym next where even your area’s goon works out? You think Olympics and Commonwealth Games happen without bucks being spent behind them? Ok yes Kalmadi is full of scam! But hello! Isn’t it too early to say CWG is a fail? I get it, Olympics stadiums were ready one year before. That’s one fault, another that he didn’t get paperwork for many deals. But arguing about infrastructure is a limit. After CWG is over and if it succeeds (which I terribly wish to shut all of your mouth), will everyone say that what a splendid job had been done?

You talk about children not getting good nutrition, have you ever questioned why do your friend eat so much, almost equal to three people’s meal? Yes right! I can give you one example coz I know such people!

Tell me something, a very good question will be why we spend so much behind durga puja decorations, wedding celebrations, behind IIFA and all when you can use the same money to help people dying of hunger. We just don’t question the corruption or mess that we create!

One of my friends argued about ministers getting 50,000 INR and asking for hike in their salary. I would like to ask, what about the media professional or what about the just-passed-out IIM student who gets equal salary? What do these students do for our country? Half of them leave India for prospect, for their own benefits! What has for god’s sake these people done? Tell me! Have they come out of their sprawling bungalows to help people during a riot or a natural disaster? Unless they themselves suffered they didn’t. Now one example isn’t enough! Give me millions, give me at least a thousand!

What about the innumerable people dying of diseases around the country? Where are the doctors? Wait you will argue you know many doctors who help. How many? Do you know enough doctors against millions of patients waiting to be cured?

If today the central government or the local government today declares that they won’t work anymore and all the politicians collectively say we won’t, have you any idea what will be the situation? There will be utter chaos and each and everyone will want their share without working and no one will be there to give you what you want or deserve! You say ministers don’t do anything to protect you, ok fine! I will call Home Ministry today and ask them to stop working. Lets see the picture of India after they do stop working, literally, how many more 26/11 or Lalgarh will happen.

And for the salary part, before asking them to cut down their salaries, ask the CEOs of leading companies to, even the professionals who gets more than 35,000 INR.

Really want to change India? Really? Stop complaining and moaning and pointing fingers at people who are at least trying. What are you guys doing? Complaining and making the situation worse than ever. It is not that easy to run a country of BILLIONS when these BILLIONS lack unity. YES, you guys lack unity! Or else rather than complaining about anything you would had been trying your best to make a difference. I know it isn’t easy, but complaining is easy na?!

I don’t support the ministers but neither I complain about them. Why? Coz I don’t have the guts to sit where they do and tolerate 365 days of abuses by BILLIONS of INDIANS. Politics should be accepted the way it is. Don’t cry over everything, if today the situation is like this it is simply because YOU have let it happen. Why don’t you co-operate or even protest in a friendly way? No you won’t you will either get into a war of stones or lathis! I have no pity for citizens who suffer coz they are themselves the reason for INDIA’s condition. And after reading this you can point your finger as much as you want at me, just to prove my words true. Thank You.

After reading the post I became an adoring fan of you OP. I totally agree with your perspective "if you don't like what's happening step-up and do something about it or just sit back and endure and just don't complain 'cos you choose it."

Misplaced anger my friend!
Politicians definitely would deserve more than 50000 if and IF they were honest, here they are already milking the system so much that they should just get a token one rupee honorarium for services rendered!
The DMK has made the telecom ministry into its own ATM..or havent you heard!
No tender is allowed to happen as the minister favors private players and their suitcases!!
Dont you remember the ONGC ex Chairmans outburst against ministerial interference?
Pawar today says hed rather the grain stored in his warehouse rot than give it free to the poor

madame, Nero played the fiddle while Rome burnt! Today we have Omar in Kashmir, Manmohan keeps a stiff upper lip while educated Kashmiris rue the way they are being treated.
The examples are endless..
Nay, it is time the complaining reached a crescendo and refused to die down..maybe the kalamadis would be shalen out of their slumber

This is something I have been putting across to those who complaint. I am sorry to state that 60% of India is young and below 30 years of age and the largest complaints come from these youngsters. There was someone the other day who thought a helicopter crash that killed 3 Officers of the Armed Forces was funny and a joke.
I would wish we came out with a mandatory military training for the youth and have them serve for a minimum of 2 years with a field posting of 1 year at least. Trust me, most of the youth who complain will not last more than 10 days in the LOC or in the Himalayan snow-clad terrain or the nasty jungles of Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh. Do they even place themselves in any of their shoes? Ungrateful lot, I say. We are the ones to be blamed. We are sissies in the right sense of the word. We all have not paid back our due to the country. Not a single bit. It is very easy to blame the politicians, the defence forces. How about a career in the armed forces or in politics? Nobody wants their hands dirtied in politics or bear the hardships a soldier bears in the line of duty. So, what are people complaining about? Corruption? Go, join politics and work to get rid of it. At least some of these politicians have seen what it was like to fight for freedom and at some point of time or the other have contributed. Here we have people who looks to ways to avoid taxes, to crib about what the tax-payers money is going to (those who don't pay) but will not move their butts to take the onus and join any service that can directly bring about a change. They would rather break things, destroy public property (that has been purchased from the money that comes from those who at least have made an effort to pay taxes). They would rather crib and crib and make fun of people and then when they are bored, find another thing to crib about, insult, abuse and move on to the next.
Well good luck to you, India's youth. This country is yours for keeps or to give away, to leave to rot and degenerate. Hats off to you for appreciating the Armed Forces, the aspiring politicians who do work, the people who still make an effort, have aspirations and try to do their bit, people who still sacrifice their lives filing RTIs and trying to get some semblance out of their existence as citizens.
Someday, sit and talk to your grandparents and they will tell you how it was back then and then see what you have and how privileged you are and do something. Take a call. Your country is yours the way each of you will make it, not as mere individuals, but as a team, because if you think India got her independence because of one person, you are mistaken about the sacrifices some member of your family made at some point of time in your life.
Proud of you sis for this! Cheers and hugs!

A well structured post with several pertinent points that need to be made.

It is true that we at times are so very active in dismissing people who put in "little effort", that we forget how worse it would be without even that little.

Also discounted by the cynics, is the considerably obvious lack of their own contributions.

We might have problems with how our elected representatives work. In fact it is our right to question and judge how they function. But such questioning can only serve a positive purpose, if the criticism is constructive, with helpful alternatives suggested. A mere "They are evil" response serves no useful purpose I can think of.

However, I can be but partially in agreement with the aspects presented here. I do not think people should apologise for their own wealth or their lifestyle. Overconsumption has been painfully torn apart as sinful, without necessarily realising that the more we consume, the more someone else creates for us to consume. This continuous cycle of creation contributes at least in part to a healthy ecosystem of development.

Moreover, there is also the issue of overpaid professionals, some of whom are as you say, leaving the country to earn more moolah. Do you have any idea of the huge taxes they are consequently paying, and how much of these taxes just blip off the radar. Why would they be responsible for the misery of India then? Also their pay packets are not their fault. It is basic economics that in a scenario where supply exceeds demand, cost increases. For my industry, although I've never been anyone's employee, I have seen people competing mostly for jobs that pay 10k p.m. to 40k p.m. The ones that get none, may at times be unlucky, but are more often downright incompetent. I would not accept a world where genius or superior capability is abhorred just because mediocrity has higher numbers. If you want a good guy to do your work for you, I see no reason not to pay the person more. This is a scenario where none can complain of unequal opportunity, as nearly all strata of society is sufficiently represented by the student class I speak of.

I am not saying the MPs do not deserve higher salaries. In fact, I feel higher salaries would help counter corruption and infuse into the MPs minds that their problems are taken care of. However, that should be because they deserve it, not because an IIM guy got more.

Now to the last point: The Armed Forces. I am a big admirer of the Indian Armed Forces. There may have been a case or two where a man in uniform misused his authority, but such cases are so far and in between, that their actions are easily overwhelmed by the million other selfless people who risk their lives so we may sleep in peace. Any attempt to demean their sacrifice appears so unnatural to me, that such attempts are dismissed by me as downright derisive. The case Hiyaa spoke of, of people finding a copter crash funny however, had set my blood boiling. But later, as I pondered over it, I wondered, "Why give a damn?". Do they, the naysayers and the complainers and the attention mongers really deserve all the anger and attention you are giving them? Do they really care? And would they mend their ways. I dare say they wouldn't. But then, all one can do is hope for others and act by oneself. Those who care, will join. Those who don't, won't.

Just my 2¢

@serendipity DMK didnt elect RAJA u guys did in election. ONGC will outburst coz its govt undertaking and they want whole private. And Pawar might say a lot, still you love Pawar when he waves at BCCI meetings. Rome wasn't built in one day, or you don't know the history. and talking abt kashmir, nothing happens one-sided. the ppl are as much responsible as the govt there. if i were the CM and i wud see ppl protesting lyk tht everyday i wud have forced shut ppl inside houses. U guys can all do complain... do something worthwhile...except complaining... why dnt u take the responsibility of teaching ur ministers a lesson rather shouting and cribbing?!?!? n ur complaining wudnt effect anything.. it didnt with Modi it wont wid anyone.
